Eleven years ago today (December 30, 2025), my father transitioned from this life, leaving behind a trail of music, memories, and love that still guides me. I remember him traveling with his band, his suitcase marked with the number 11, carrying instruments, dreams, and stories from one stage to the next. Music was his language, and through it, he spoke not only to audiences, but to generations.

Today, that language echoes in a beautiful way. Soul Tracks has named “Bossa Nova Tonite” Video of the Month for January 2026, with a write-up that honors my father’s influence on my journey. To see his presence acknowledged in this celebration of music feels like a circle completed, a quiet, powerful affirmation that love, passion, and artistry never fade.

This milestone would not have been possible without the incredible Kinsman Dazz Band (Ebony Sweat Productions, Bell Telephunk Records), whose energy, creativity, and heart brought Bossa Nova Tonite to life. Together, we created something that transcends time, a song that carries legacy forward, bridging past and present.

Music is more than notes and rhythms. It is lineage. It is memory. It is love. It is the thread that ties us to those who came before, and to those who will follow.
On this day of remembrance (December 30,2025), I am grateful: for my father, for the collaborators who share this journey, and for the audiences who open their hearts to the music. Legacy lives on. And in every note, every rhythm, and every soulful melody, I feel him there. Hugs
