Freedom In Blues is an intimate musical journey honoring Juneteenth, the day freedom was announced, the day truth caught up with history, the day resilience sang louder than chains.
Freedom In Blues, through Black Music Month blues, jazz, gospel, a story, we gather to remember.To reflect. Freedom in Blues to celebrate the Father’s unbreakable spirit woven into our music.
The blues was never just sorrow; it was survival. It was coded language. It was faith under pressure. It was joy that refused to die.
This afternoon will move through the lineage of sound that carried our ancestors forward and still carries us today. Songs of struggle. Songs of triumph. Songs that whisper and songs that wail.
In the intimacy of The Black Box, every note is personal. Every breath is shared. Every silence is intentional.
This is not just a performance. It is a listening experience. A remembering. A celebration of freedom still unfolding.
