Honey Bees,
Sometimes the most beautiful moments arrive when you least expect them. The morning of July 26th, I opened an email from Palermo, Italy, that brought a huge smile to my face and filled my heart with gratitude.
Radio Studio 104 has been chosen as the Best Sicilian Radio Station of 2026 by the jury of the PRT Radio TV Award 2026! 🎙️🏆.

What makes this moment even more special is knowing that my program, Habaka’s Bee Hive, is part of the station’s incredible programming. Radio Studio 104 shared with me that this award belongs to everyone who helps create their “structured, harmonious, and varied schedule” — and they told me:
“This award is yours too.”
Those words truly touched me.
My journey with Radio Studio 104 began in the most unexpected way. One day, I received a message from Palermo telling me that they loved my radio show and wanted to add it to their station.
I didn’t know how they found me, but I knew it was a beautiful opportunity to share my voice, my music, and my stories with listeners in Italy.
What makes this connection even more meaningful is that Palermo has been part of my artistic journey for many years. During my European tours, I had the honor of performing in Palermo and sharing my music with audiences there.

I never imagined that one day my voice would return to Palermo in a different way — not from a concert stage, but through radio.
In 2026, I was also honored to be the only female American radio host featured as part of Radio Studio 104’s International Jazz Day celebration, a global celebration of jazz and its power to connect people across cultures.

From the stage to the studio, from the United States to Italy and back again, music has a way of creating connections that continue long after the performance ends.
This moment reminds me of something I often share with my Honey Bees:
You never know who is listening. A song, a story, or a radio program can travel farther than we ever imagine.
Sometimes the seeds we plant through our creativity grow in places we never expected.
I am deeply grateful to Radio Studio 104, the listeners who have welcomed Habaka’s Bee Hive, and everyone who continues to support this journey.
This is truly another Tupelo Honey Miracle — a reminder that the sweetest connections are often the ones we never planned.
With gratitude from my Honeycomb to yours,
🍯🐝 Hugs
Habaka KFJ
