Honey Bees!

“And just before September could sneak out the door, I released my newest Habaka’s Bee Hive interview with Tedi ‘Son of Pearl’ Robinson on YouTube.”

Preparing for a Spooky Jazzy Halloween

If September taught me anything, it’s that apparently I don’t know how to sit still. 😂

I closed the month releasing new music, sending it to radio DJs, watching my catalog travel around the world, preparing for the Las Vegas Book Festival, building Inside the Honeycomb, hosting Habaka’s Bee Hive, and releasing my interview with Tedi “Son of Pearl” Robinson.

So naturally, what comes next?

Halloween with the opera! 👻🎶😂

This October, I’ll be joining performers from The International Opera Institute for three Spooky Jazzy Halloween performances presented at Las Vegas-Clark County Library District locations.

And this isn’t your traditional night at the opera.

We’re talking “Thriller.” “Ghostbusters.” “Monster Mash.” Halloween favorites, jazz, theatricality, costumes and a little spooky musical fun.

Now THAT sounds like Habaka territory. 😂

“People sometimes ask how a blues, jazz and gospel singer ends up in spaces like this. My answer is simple: I’ve never believed that my voice had to live inside one room.”

Bye, bye September and Hello October! God bless you, and stay real sweet.  Hugs
