Well I've been meaning to talk about this subject for quite some time and just never could seem to get around to it. So you may be asking yourself (Name Change)? So this all took place about 7yrs. ago just before my mother took ill with cancer. I was enlightened by a passage in the Bible from the book of Habakkauk 3:19 (feel free to check it out) which was life changing for me, and from that time it has changed my outlook on life.
You see Habakkuk was a male profit and so I took on the female version and changed the spelling to HABAKA! (where its easier to pronounce and easier to spell) :-) So when I returned back to singing after my mother being healed, it was laid on my heart to change my name to HABAKA! Now returning to Europe where most everyone knows me as Kay Foster Jackson it has been quite a challenge to change my name, I mean even when I send in promo as Habaka Kay Foster Jackson they still continue to write Kay Foster Jackson, well I'm proud to announce that finally the name HABAKA is starting to bloom and it makes me just over joyed because it has not been easy., so the plan was that since everyone continued to write Kay Foster Jackson that I would just add HABAKA KAY FOSTER JACKSON and eventually take off the KFJ, so the time has finally arrived and I will presenting myself only as HABAKA! I have a new CD about to be released in the name of Habaka so keep your ear's and eyes open it should be coming around the middle of July!!!!
