Wow, that is really something! I think that it is important to be brave, but I would probably taken a different path. If possible, I would have snuck away and let them take anything that they wanted. I think in that type of situation, we don’t know what is going to happen. An intruder is unpredictable. Then again, so is life! The most important thing is that we deal with what is presented to us in the way that we feel best suits us. The thing I am totally in agreement with your friend is that being without fear is always the best. We can think clearly and won’t have an emotional reaction.
