Finally I'm starting this new category on my blog entitled FEMALE VOICES that will basically be my place to talk about female voices that are unique to me. This is my very first post in this category and I chose CARMEN LUNDY, who happens to be one of my mentor's and she has released this incredible CD entitled SOUL TO SOUL it's sexy, with a positive message my favorite is "Life Is A Song In Me". She wrote nearly every song on the CD and even played and recorded all the instruments as a demo for the talented musicians she was wanting to collaborate with. (one being Patrice Rushen)
Since I've become a part of the #BlackBerryRadioNetwork family and as the Music Director on the #radio air waves with blackberryjazzradio.com of course that requires choosing some of the artists that I like and enjoy and I ran across the great Carmen Lundy. I was so exicted after going to her website and seeing her video EPK on the makings of Soul to Soul, that I added it below for your viewing and listening pleasure. I was very pleased at what I heard. Now another amazing thing about this album to my surprise is, the lyrics are spiritual. I feel like Carmen Lundy has really outdone her self as usual. If you don't know my mentor then get to know her, she's awesome! Hugs
