Famous for her profound contralto voice strong yet smooth and crystal clear, Habaka reminds you of the sultriness of Sade, the class of Nancy Wilson, the sassiness of Earth Kitt, the big vibrato of Etta James and Mahalia Jackson, and the subtleness of Shirley Horn all wrapped up into one, international jazz recording vocalist Habaka Kay Foster Jackson is called the Panther of Cremona, born in the (Music City) Nashville, TN, where she was given the birth name of Constance reared in Bloomfield, CT, this international jazz recording artist and mentor previously known as Kay Foster Jackson and now Habaka Kay Foster Jackson, after performing more than 300 concerts Habaka KFJ continues to capitvate her audiences throughout Europe in the most prestigious Clubs, Festivals, Theaters’ Cathedrals and before Nobility.
Habaka's first recording with the group IZ Army released the LP entitled "The Bomb" under AMP Records prepared her for her next recordings all under independent labels “Eternal Life" (Exodus Records)”, Habaka being one of the most sought after jazz, gospel, blues voices today has collaborated on several projects and recordings and has been the featured artist as well. To date Habaka has now recorded 5 solo albums to her credit "Hold On", "My Favorite Things", "Constance", "Back in the city...It's Christmas", and her most recent album release distributed by TMG records "I Will Wait For You".
Habaka coming from a lineage of musicians her grandfather Jerry Jackson pianist and promoter, her mother Mary Ann Jackson international dancer & jazz vocalist and her father Melvin Jackson saxophonist for the Legendary B.B.
